Is there any way (maybe a PHP code?) to turn off the lazy load images for blog posts?

I have header images above the fold on my articles that don’t load until user interaction.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Have you tried excluding the header image from AO lazyload?

Thanks for the response! I don’t see that as an option anywhere or have I found info on that. That’s what I am asking for… if you know how to do that, please explain!

I am just trying to do this for the blog posts… so if there is PHP to turn off Autoptimize on blog posts I think that would be the best solution.

well, if you go to Settings -> Autoptimize -> Images and you enable “lazyload” then you should see 2 extra form fields, one “Lazy-load exclusions” where you can exclude based on e.g. class-name or filename and one “Lazy-load from nth image” where you can configure AO to only lazyload from e.g. the 3rd or 5th image found (which would include the header image)?

give that a try, if it does not work we can look into disabling lazyload for blog posts with PHP ??

Yeah I did… I realized the problem is that Autoptimize conflicts with WP Rocket.

depends on your configuration, they _can_ work together flawlessly ??

what is the specific conflict in your case?

I use Generate Press and I heard from other people on GP forums that they do work well together.

But for me, when Rocket is turned on first and then Autoptimize, my home page menus go crazy (even though on Rocket I am excluding menu code). Not a problem if just Rocket is turned on.

If Autoptimize is on first and then Rocket, my logo and header images don’t load (even though I exclude them). Not a problem if just Autopotimize is turn on.

Maybe some kind of caching issue.

just so we’re clear; are you doing any JS/ CSS optimization in WP Rocket? because doing so in 2 places can (will) cause weird things to happen …

Yes, those really only are the additional features that Autoptimize doesn’t have… and they greatly increase my speed

those really only are the additional features that Autoptimize doesn’t have…

so which one specifically are those?

No feedback so I assume this can get closed now streater3000 ? Feel free to follow up if you still encounter issues!

    have a nice day!
