Turn off page comments!?

When you create a page there is an option in the Page editor if you scroll down to Discussion. For Pages all ready created you will have to edit and turn comments off.

EDIT: Well, I see I have that option on one site but not the other. Now to figure that out.

As mentioned above, this option isn’t shown to me when I edit a page…

3.1 hides some screen options on posts & pages edit screens by default.

Thanks esmi. One I had discussion turned on and one turned off.

MikeP1990 Go to dashboard, pages, screen options, show on page and check discussions. Then scroll down and you will have the on/off options.

I cannot find anywhere to turn off Page comments. It is not on the individual page. The Screen options referenced above are not there, even for the main Dashboard page. I just set up a new site this morning and it is running on WordPress 3.1.1. I even tried installing a plug-in that is supposed to turn off page comments globally and it is working.

lesliestafford – if you post a question on a old problem, especially one that has been resolved, you will get very little help.
