• Hi,

How do I disable the styles for one single block (pullquote)?

I want a simple way to achieve this. This shouldn’t be difficult!

I don’t want any left over inline styles etc. Just an easy method to turn off all the styles for that one block type so I can write them myself.

Everything is styled to some extent. You can choose defaults or resets in the block options, but your theme will still be applying some styling. If you want to fully custom style some content, you probably would need to accomplish it as Custom HTML and include your preferred styling as a style attribute. Element style attributes will always take precedence over any other equivalent styling rules.

The other option would be to assign a custom CSS class (under Advanced panel) and add Additional CSS (in the customizer) that uses that custom class as a selector under which all of your preferred styles are applied. Usually any styles specified in Additional CSS will override equivalent theme styling, but not element style attributes.

I’m sure there is a good way of doing that. Two articles I came across that sort of might help:

I haven’t really taken a super deep look but you might be able to unregister those based on the articles.
