    Hello,

Our wholesale has a stockfeed (csv) with only 2 options: In stock and Out of stock. We can’t change it. In Woocommerce out of stock = customer is not able to order.
We want to use a plugin like: https://codecanyon.net/item/stock-synchronization-for-woocommerce/19425704 so this stockfeed is beeining downloaded automaticly, daily and it synchronise our products with the stock status.

We don’t have items that can go out of stock.
So how can I turn Out of stock automaticly into Backorder after synchronizing with the .csv file? So it displays something like: Delivery within 6-8 weeks, so customers can order but they have to wait longer?

    Can anyone advise me please?

    Greetings Ilona

    Beter discription of the question:
Our wholesale gives the option to download a stockfeed (.csv) with only 2 stock options: In stock and Out of stock. They won’t add more options. In Woocommerce out of stock means that a customer is not able to order, because the ‘add to cart’ button in not clickable. We want to use a plugin like: https://codecanyon.net/item/stock-synchronization-for-woocommerce/19425704 so this .csv is beining downloaded automaticly, daily and it synchronises our products with the stock status.

We want customers being able to still buy product that are out of stock. Those products just have a longer delivery time then in stock products.

The solution would be that the ‘out of stock’ in the .csv is automaticly turned into ‘Backorder with notification’, like: Delivery within 6-8 weeks, But I don’t know how to do this automaticly by code or something.

Does anyone have a solution/code for me?

    Hey there,

If you’re looking at this from a WooCommerce core perspective, it would indeed require custom code to automatically change out of stock to backorder. However, that stock synchronization plugin that you’re looking at may very well have an option to help with this – I’d recommend contacting the developers of the plugin to double check.

If that doesn’t work, then you could have this functionality custom-built for you. I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
