Turned off comment moderation but still having to moderate

    I turned off comment moderation so that when people comment on my posts, I would not need to approve them. However, comments are still being held for moderation. Any help would be appreciated!

    There’s a setting at Settings > Discussion in your Dashboard for “Hold a comment in the queue if it contains [x] or more links.”

    Make sure that’s a higher number, like 2 or 3. Settings it to 0 or 1 will hold any comment with any link (including the comment form’s Website field) for moderation.

    @macmanx – Just checked that setting, and it was already set at 2. And, none of my commenters are including links in their comments, other than the links to their own sites. Any other suggestions? I appreciate your help!

    Update: I believe this issue is resolved! The problem seems to be that I had not finished setting up my Akismet plugin. Since I finished configuring it, a comment did go through automatically without me having to approve it. Hopefully that fixed things!
