turning off automatic protection

    Very thorough protection!

    I seek to only protect one email address, manually.
    But perhaps I’m not understanding the settings.

    Protect mailto links
    I believe this is automatic protection, so I deselected it.

    Protect plain emails
    I believe this is for automatically detecting addresses that have no mailto link.
    So I selected
    No, keep plain emails as they are

    Also protect...
    Deselected all these.

    Options have effect on
    Deselected all these.

    Remaining options, I left as default.

    On my test page, I see that automatic protection is turned off, and my default code remains is unprotected. Good.
    Below that is my attempt at using your shortcode. Attributes are passed nicely. However, the address is overprotected, and passed to the email app “*protected email*”, not the desired “[email protected]”.

    Suggestions?
