• Hello,

I’m weird – in that I want to format my entries myself, type out the HTML (especially when I want to add a JavaScript popup window)…how do I turn off the rich text editor for creating or editing posts? (Alternately, how do I set it up so that I can choose, on a per-post basis, whether to use the rich text editor or to just format things myself?)

When writing your post, look at the top-right corner (just above the formatting toolbar and to the right). You should see a “Visual” tab and an “HTML” tab. Choose the HTML tab to use the plain text editor and the Visual tab to use the rich text editor, but consider yourself warned that switching between the two tabs while composing a post may result in the loss or alteration of your code.

is there a way to store or limit the formatting per post?

We have a page where there is some embed coded included – https://www.ecotopiabiketour.net/contact -, but if one of our volunteers changes the regular text in rich text mode, the embedded code is destructed by the rich text editor.

Ideally it would be smt like <donttouch>embed code</donttouch>
