• In Admin panel under writing options formatting I uncheck all of the boxes in hopes of turning off the rich text editor. The editor is not producing the code I need to output and using the HTML button and updating the code to what I want gets changed to some crappy markup. I don’t want some editor telling me what my markup should be. Is there a known bug with the tiny editor changing HTML? Or is there a way to turn off this feature? I uncheck all of the formatting options to off and it does not go away.

    Help please!

I’m using WP v2.0 on Windows 2003 server

  • Two places. One is the Admin Writing options, the other, for existing users, each user profile page has a checkbox that defaults to use the WYSIWYG editor. You need to uncheck that as well. User profile setting overrides your admin global option, in this case, I think.
