Hello, i have been having this issue of not been able to publish pages and post… With the error “Json error publishing page” for days now. I have also reached out to my host, and i was told to check my site health under tools.

I did check, and i got have two problems, one of which was to install atleast one default wordpress theme. And the second which is “The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (http_request_failed)”.

Then, i reverted back to my host… And they suggested that i find out the plugin blocking my REST API ENDPOINT.

I disabled all my plugins, and start activating one after the other… Lo, and behold… It was your plugin “Tutor LMS”.

I couldn’t believe it, cos my site relies on the plugin… So, i had to make another quick wordpress installation, on a new subdomain and have the “Tutor LMS” plugin only active.

Then, i confirmed the same error “The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.

The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (http_request_failed)”.

Please what could be done… I am using a premium theme built for Tutor LMS, and i can’t imagine having to spend another penny.

I have exactly the same problem. Enabling TutorLMS triggers the above described problem. In another thread I read support is aware of the problem and they are working on a sollution.

I created a thread about this problem a week ago and the developers said they will be releasing an update and they marked the thread as resolved.

Still, no update has been released and the problem persists. I’m thinking of moving to a different LMS plugin if the issue isn’t resolved in the next 2 days.

Same problem here. The last version that does not trigger this problem is 1.7.9.

    Hi,

I am sorry to know that you’re facing problems with the API feature. Can you please confirm that you’re facing this problem with the latest version?

If yes, please share the steps to reproduce the issue. I will try to get this resolved ASAP.

I’ve updated the plugin to the latest version (1.8.3) and the Site Health doesn’t show the PHP warning.

However, the issue still persists. I tried to edit the Course and add a new lesson. On saving the Course, I got the same JSON error.

I then deactivated the Tutor LMS Elementor Addons plugin and tried saving the Course again and didn’t get any error.

So, I think the error is caused by the Tutor LMS Elementor addon plugin.

    Hey @iamahfaz,

I am not clear about the steps to reproduce the issue. Can you please book a call with me?
