    Hi, here is “how to find your API Key. After registration with Etsy, and assuming you actually have a shop there :-; go to your shop and click on:
    – YOUR SHOP (on top right of page)
    – scroll to “Info & Appearance” and click
    – Then you will see menu items on the LEFT of the page, THIRD ITEM DOWN:
    – Click on: SECTIONS
    – THEN YOU WILL SEE YOUR SHOP SECTIONS
    – CLICK ON YOUR SECTION THAT YOU WANT TO USE/SHOW
    – THEN LOOK INTO THE TOP BROWSER ADDRESS BAR, it’s part of the URL, for the last number, it is the section number. Example:
    “www.etsy.com/your/shops/creativesoul/sections/112333422”
    (Fictional URL above)
    – Copy that number into your SHORTCODE.
    DONE

  • Surely this isn’t the API key? You provide a link of how to get the API key but not really what to do – I got one by registering a new app, which is really just being able to use your plugin, as I didn’t know what else to do.

    THE HEADING SHOULD READ: HOW TO FIND YOUR ETSY SECTION ID
    UPDATE – RIGHT, SORRY, THE HEADING SHOULD READ: HOW TO FIND YOUR ETSY SECTION ID
    You get the API key when registering. Then, to use the Etsy Shop Plugin, you need your “section ID” That was about it, see above.
    Maybe a moderator can change the header for me as I can’t edit it..

    Then you add the shortcode to a page of your choice to diplay the esy app:
    1.Enter your API key in the Etsy Shop Options page;
    Place ‘[etsy-include=your-etsy-shop-name;your-etsy-shop-setion-id]’ in your page or post;

    ok thanks.
