Tweetable does not tweet posts made with blogging tools…

    Recently started using external blogging software again and ran into a problem:

    Tweetable works nicely and tweets my new posts as long as I write them in WordPress, using the internal editor.

    When I post with external blogging software (MarsEdit in my case) the post is ignored by Tweetable. No scheduling or other fancy stuff used.

    Anybody else experiencing this or is anyone using blogging software successfully with Tweetable? Ideas for a solution?

  • Have you tried scheduling the post? Next time you write one, try scheduling it to be posted a minute or two later. That might get WordPress to fire the right hook.

    strange, but that’s it! Just schedule the post a little into the future, and it works.
    Thanks again for your support!

    I think WordPress’s XML-RPC system that external editors use bypasses a hook Tweetable uses. I’ll have to look into it sometime.
