I’m using the latest Tweetable version in my blog. I want to switch my default Twitter account in this plugin, but I always get a “You don’t have sufficient permission to access this page” error while trying to do so. This error occurs in the last step, when I’m being redirected back to my WP dashboard after authorizing the account in Twitter.
The thing is Tweetable actually says that the account has been changed after doing this. I can even update my status on the new account from my dashboard. But the automatic tweets, which are sent after a post is published, continue to be posted on the older Twitter account.
How do I resolve this? Thanks. ??

Update : Whenever I tweet from my dashboard, it is published on my older Twitter account, not the newer one. ??

When you change your Twitter account, you need to go through the OAuth process again, which Tweetable isn’t letting you do, due to it’s error.

It’s possible to reset Tweetable to a pre-installation state by making changes to certain rows in the wp_options table. Follow these instructions carefully, as doing something wrong can cause major problems for your WordPress install. (And there is no ‘undo.’)

    1. Point your web browser to https://yourblog.com/wp-admin/options.php

    2. Scroll down to the line marked tweetable_account_activated. (You can use Ctrl+F to search within the page.)

    3. Change tweetable_account_activated from 1 to 0.

    4. Scroll down to the bottom and push the “Save Changes” button. Return to your blog’s Dashboard and Tweetable should allow you to re-run the original installer when you try to access it.
