Tweets Won't Load

My client has WP 4.O site with a custom theme. From day one we’ve been having issues with Tweet Blender “getting jammed” for lack of a better term.
It will regularly not update for 48hrs+. If I go into the setting on the backend, change nothing, and click save, it will refresh on the live site.
I’ve searched every forum I can and can’t seem to find a resolution. Any ideas?
