Twenty elevel comment box and discussion

  • Hi everyone,

    i browse the forum but could not find a solution ?? , i would like to have a comment box in my “le mie creazioni” page and delete the discussion field, in my admin panel i took away the flag under : screen option / Discussion and left the comment flag.
    Still the pages shows no comment box and the Discussion post is still there. Long ago i did the same thing in my “contattami” page and it worked, i checked the specifications under “screen options” for both page and they are identical ?? .

  • To disable comments on future Pages/Posts, uncheck “Allow people to post comments on new articles” in Settings -> Discussion. Then edit each published Page or Post and uncheck “Allow comments” in each case. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options at the very top of the page and check “Discussion”.

    if i enter the page “le mie creazioni”, and access the screen option at the top of my this page, i checked “comments” and unchecked “discussion”. but in that single page it still shows NO comment box, but the posts are still there ??

    You are NOT using the Twenty Eleven theme. You are using a custom theme which may (or may not) be based on the original 2011 theme. You can show comments on your le mie creazioni” page by checking “Allow comments” when editing this Page. If you do not want other Posts to how in this page,. I suggest you edit the Page and select the default page template as opposed to the showcase template.

    Ah right!! apologies, i still have to get use to my child theme!!

    it all fixed itself when i changed to page settings from template to default ^^.
