Twenty Eleven- Adding button to header image

Hi,

Just a basic quick question. I have header image displayed only on the homepage (I am using twenty eleven-child theme). I want to add a ‘contact button’ on top of the header image but can’t seem to know how to add it. I know css very well and can position it but don’t know where to add the appropriate code in header.php. Any help please??
