Twenty Eleven Child theme – Excerpt problem

Anyone else is having this problem? Basically the continue to read link created by our page excerpt is appearing in the meta-data of our site:

https://www.playgroundgroup.net/jmis/company/

If we remove the link the extra code disappears and so does the read more

The code in functions:
function jmis_continue_reading_link() {
return ‘ ‘ . __( ‘Read More <span class=”meta-nav”> > </span>’, ‘jmis’ ) . ‘‘;
}

We get this issue with a few of our sites and all our sites use different plugins so we think it’s the theme?

Any help would be amazing ??
