• The Twenty Eleven Theme is not displaying any menu styling when viewed in IE8.

First noticed this in my child theme and switched back to the default Twenty Eleven theme – but menu styling still does not display.

Menu styling does display if I switch to the Twenty Ten theme.

Does anyone have a site running Twenty Eleven successfully with IE8 ?
Has anyone seen this and solved it?

    Thx – Glenn

  • Yes, I have sites using Twenty Eleven and no issues with IE8. Check if JavaScript is enabled in your IE8 browser.

Yep Javascript is enabled. Just tried with IE9. IE9 shows this correctly.

    Site link?

SwansonPhotos – Thanks much for your help.

No site link yet because I pulled the code off and was working only on localhost (where the problem also showed up.)

But it’s apparently solved now. I started from scratch, created a new DB, reinstalled WordPress. The only difference this time is that I created the menu before I created the child theme instead of after. (Previously the child theme was activated when I created the menu.) Just commenting on the process — I doubt this is cause & effect.

It works and I have no idea why ??

    Thanks again for your help.
