    Hey everybody,

I placed a custom menu widget that goes in the footer that contains the about, contact us etc… page links. The problem is that the default menu is vertical, so the page links line up vertically.

Is there a way to modify the menu ONLY for the footer into a horizontal menu so that the page links display horizontally?

    Thanks for any help!

    generally:

please create a child theme of Twenty Eleven (if you haven’t already) to make the edits in there.
it is important to have an unedited default theme (Twenty Eleven in wp3.2) in case of problems; a child theme also helps to keep customisations during an upgrade.

once you have your child theme in place (and posted a link to your site), we should be able to make some useful suggestions.

although a horizontal menu is more a css problem than wordpress related, the codex has a chapter for it: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Creating_Horizontal_Menus

Thank you very much for the replies. I have created a child theme but the problem is that I am too new to wordpress to know how to use the code they provide in the link. Maybe there is a plug in for this somewhere? The second problem is that my site is not up yet, I am currently building it as a localhost on my computer.
