[Twenty Eleven] How can I show the default Showcase page?

  • Hi everyone,

    In the demo site of Twenty Eleven, the Showcase page has a image slider and a sleek black Continue reading box at the bottom of the featured post. (for an example see the image please). But in my installation of Twenty Eleven, both the slider and the black box of Continue reading part is missing. Here is a screenshot of my showcase page. Though the featured post of my has an image and I’ve selected that image from the Set featured image option, it doesn’t show any image in the showcase at all!

    Please help me to set my Showcase page as the default showcase page of the twenty eleven demo site.

    Is anyone facing the same problem?

    BTW I am using a LAMP localhost for the testing (I’ve installed it for the first time of my life). I am totally novice in this field. So I am not sure whether the localhost/LAMP is the reason for not displaying the showcase page properly or is there any problem with the code.

    You have to set an post thumbnail.

    Hi typolay, Thanks for the reply.

    I didn’t find any “Post Thumbnail” option in my twentyeleven theme. There is a “Featured Image” option but it is not working for me. In the showcase page, only the post without the images are appearing. Help me out please! ??

    And can anyone please tell me how to show the default black ‘Continue Reading…’ button on showcase?

    But Post Thumbnail = Featured image doesn’t work for me. ?? I’ve selected an image through the Featured image but it doesn’t appear in the showcase. I even tried with an image post (no words just image only) and selected the image through the Featured image but it didn’t work either! ??

    Hi, I still can not figure it out. Does the Featured Image in showcase page work perfectly out of box?
