Twenty Eleven issues in IE7

I have a child theme set up for twenty eleven, but it seems to have issues with IE7, especially the showcase function (mostly the margins). I noticed that even without the changes that I made with the child theme, twenty eleven has issues with IE7.

Is there anyway to fix this? Other than convincing everyone to upgrade to IE8 or IE9.
