Twenty Eleven on IE8 vs. IE9 Dark Color Disappears

  • Newbie and have Twenty Eleven 1.1 as theme with nothing fancy done to it. Selected the ‘Dark’ background. All looks great and appears right when viewed through Firefox and IE9 but when viewing blog from IE8 the dark background disappears and the light text is unreadable against the background image selected. I can’t control what browser a reader uses– is there a fix?
