How can it post only the News posts?! Where did you specify that in the script? (I want it like that, just wondering ??

the ‘News’ page is only showing the ‘news’ category posts;

specified in this line:

<?php query_posts('category_name=news&posts_per_page=-1'); ?>

this section:
category_name=news

obviously, the front page will, by default, show posts of all categories.

I added this also so I can exclude some categories on the front page.

$query->set(‘cat’, ‘-xx’);

add_filter(‘pre_get_posts’, ‘exclude_category’);

xx= ID of the category

On my blog-page.php can I have the widget with “latest posts” to the sidebar with all the latest blog posts? Not the startpage posts. That would be great.
