    Hello!

I’d like to remove some of my uploaded header images. I’ve deleted the images from my wp-content/upload folder. The backend still shows me the broken pictures. And the random function does as well.

Does anybody know a solution for this?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

    bosch_hh

    Thanks, Bosch_hh!

    Whoopy! Thank you bosch_hh !

dtownend, don’t upload your header images into media. Go to dashboard>Appearances>Header and upload them there. They will then work. Better also to crop your images to 1000 x 288 before uploading so you get exactly what you want.

    Hi,

if i use white-content popup it display the popup only in content div to fix this issue can anyone help me please.

Under media in the backend I see no files at all, but the images are still showing in the header…

    Hi everyone!

The problem is still unsolved as far as i can see…

The circles persist no matter i :
    – deleted the images in Media > Library
    – deleted the images (files) in wpcontent > blogsdir > mywebsite
    – and no file appears by the way inside wpcontent > uploads

The problem is that, as long as the tick circles are there, there will appear from time to time a “beautiful” bug question mark whenever the system tries to display the image… that no longer exists!

How to clean that, how to destroy those circles, could someone please help me?

    Thanks!

I’ve had a similar problem, (though the circles have gone, now that I’ve removed the images from the Media library.

My comment, while I can see that it’s a theme, rather than a WordPress issue, is that it would be useful, given that you have to upload the images via the theme (rather than the normal media uploader) to have a note in the theme to the effect of “If you want to change the images you’ve uploaded, you’ll have to go to the Media Library (via the dashboard) to remove them”

I wasted a bit of time trying to remove them (including going via FileZilla to the files & just removing them!)

    Hi people!

Just a message to say i’m afraid i’ve always been right: it’s a thousand times more probable i am wrong than WordPress working bad!

Indeed i just hadnt deleted ALL the undesired files in the library, so that’s the reason why the tick-circles “persisted”…

    So everything’s ok…! )))

    Dashboard
    Media
    Libraries

you will see images marked as HEADER IMAGE

    Delete

    All done

On the WP Dashboard its on the Top ..Click Media and click library thats where I found all the images .
I delete and now all the click circles are also gone .

Thank you ! Thank you ! Thank you !

    Thanks much IIama,
You are not alone. We guys are thinking little too much behind the scenes rather than looking at the available UI option !
‘Media’ >> Library on the WP left navigation been the solution !

    llama – SOLVED !
Thanks a lot to bosch_hh and alchymyth
(u’ll find alchymyth’s post in another topic)
i was looking media under Settings & couldn’t find anything relevant ..stupid me .
On the WP Dashboard its on the Top ..Click Media and click library thats where I found all the images .

I am staring afresh now !

    .

I was wondering. If I change themes, what happens to all my info? Do I start all over or will everything be placed where it is supposed to go according to the difvferent format?
