Twenty eleven, styles and the annoying grey bit…

I’m sorry but it is beyond the scope of these forums to deal with general CSS issues. Try a dedicated CSS resource such as https://www.css-discuss.org/ instead. In the meantime, using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your web browser.

this is the background color of #page as defined in /colors/dark.css

because the dark.css is loaded after your custom css
(https://www.unionstreetmediaarts.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/styles/cache-.css?ver=3.5.1), you will need to use !important with your styles.

what coding or plugin are you actually using for this custom css file?

please contact the plugin’s developer to inform them that the plugin is not working with Twenty Eleven…

It’s the Styles plugin and possibly a bit of hand coding. I have only a fairly primitave knowledge of CSS and I am easily confused.

So by adding !important, that will override what the dark.css tries to load?
