Twenty Eleven Theme Embedded Imaged Cropped Vertically

Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the Twenty Twelve folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Okay, I just re-uploaded the twenty eleven theme. All that happened was my customized margins went away, but the pictures are still cropped in height.

So you have been editing this theme?

Someone else edited the theme before I took over updating the page. They adjusted the margins so more content could be displayed on the page. I could probably get them to fix the margins again, but my big problem is the pictures.

Other changes have been made on that site. Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

Okay, I uploaded twenty thirteen and deactivated all the plugins. I still see the problem.

That site is not using the 2013 theme.

It was, but I changed it back because the problem still persisted. When I changed it to the the twenty thirteen theme and deactivated all the plugins, the embedded pictures were still cropped.

We need to see the issue with all plugins deactivated and that Twenty Thirteen theme.

Okay, I changed it back to the twenty thirteen theme and I deactivated all the plugins. The pictures are only cropped on Internet Explorer, not Chrome.

I can’t see any cropping in IE10…

Which version of Internet Explorer does the issue persist in?

It’s IE8. My job has us using IE* and Chrome as our only options for browsers right now. But this problem only started a couple of days ago. The images were added months ago and the problem is new.

Why are you using a 4.5 year old browser? The current version of IE is version 10.
