Twenty-Fourteen navigation menu issues
-
My navigation menus were flawless until about two weeks ago. Pages that were part of my navigation menu in Twenty-Fourteen are no longer showing up and I can’t get them to appear again. It only lists five pages: Shop, About, Blog, Cart and Checkout. I am missing my Legal menu with its three submenus, Contact, Portfolio and maybe something else.
I have tried to add back into the menu the Legal pages: Edit Menus>Pages>ViewAll> and select the pages that disappeared>Add to Menu. I positioned them into the Menu Structure and clicked “Save menu,” and clicked “top primary menu” and “secondary menu in left sidebar.”
After doing this, the navigation menu displays EVERY page (even the ones that were NOT added to the menu structure) across the top of the page, and I lose the secondary menu in left sidebar.
When I go back to Appearance>Menus, the menu structure does not show the pages I put back in it and the “top primary menu” and the “secondary menu in left sidebar” is no longer selected. If I click on them and save the menu, I am right back where I started with only the five pages being displayed in both navigation bars.
I just updated Twenty-fourteen. I have deactivated my plugins (and reactivated them after issues continued) and I deactivated my child them.
I have been working on this for several weeks. Please help.
