• My navigation menus were flawless until about two weeks ago. Pages that were part of my navigation menu in Twenty-Fourteen are no longer showing up and I can’t get them to appear again. It only lists five pages: Shop, About, Blog, Cart and Checkout. I am missing my Legal menu with its three submenus, Contact, Portfolio and maybe something else.

I have tried to add back into the menu the Legal pages: Edit Menus>Pages>ViewAll> and select the pages that disappeared>Add to Menu. I positioned them into the Menu Structure and clicked “Save menu,” and clicked “top primary menu” and “secondary menu in left sidebar.”

After doing this, the navigation menu displays EVERY page (even the ones that were NOT added to the menu structure) across the top of the page, and I lose the secondary menu in left sidebar.

When I go back to Appearance>Menus, the menu structure does not show the pages I put back in it and the “top primary menu” and the “secondary menu in left sidebar” is no longer selected. If I click on them and save the menu, I am right back where I started with only the five pages being displayed in both navigation bars.

I just updated Twenty-fourteen. I have deactivated my plugins (and reactivated them after issues continued) and I deactivated my child them.

I have been working on this for several weeks. Please help.

  • Hi taylorjones2013

    Is this issue still ongoing?

Did you create a menu, e.g. “Main Menu”, before adding the pages to it?

If so, are the menus themselves being saved? Not the pages, but the actual menus, e.g. “Main Menu”, “Footer Menu”

Post back, if you still need help

    I do still need help.

My main menu was up and running for about a year without issue. On the top navigation and sidebar menues all my pages that I wanted seen were there. For example, About, Legal (three submenues), Contact, Shop, Cart, Portfolio, etc. It is now not working properly as described in my post.

I have tried to add back into the menu the Legal pages by doing this in the dashboard: Edit Menus>Pages>View All> and select the pages that disappeared>Add to Menu.

Please help. I have gone through my plugins and deactivated all of them and nothing changed. I deactivated my child theme and that didn’t work either.

Is there no one out there who can help me with my issues regarding the menus not displaying the pages that had once been displaying fine? Here is what I wrote two weeks ago.

If you’re repeating things that you’ve already said in the thread then you are decreasing your chance of receiving help. Your thread looks like it’s describing a complicated issue. Can you rephrase the problem simpler?

To simply, pages are no longer showing up on menus. Menu will only display four or five pages now. Worked fine until 2 weeks ago. Any attempts to add pages back into menu does not work. They just disappear.

I think your best chance of receiving support will be to post on your theme’s support section here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/storefront#postform
