So, as the title says, I’m trying to customize the look / functionality of my top menu, or nav. One of the things I want to do is increase the size of the elements within it, I started by increasing the height of the header div, but when I style it as anything beyond it’s default (48px) it breaks the “fixed position” functionality of it, and it flows with the rest of the site….

I don’t know why it’s acting like this, and I can’t for the life of me figure it out, I was hoping perhaps somebody here could give me a little insight to this…

Also, as a secondary question, what would be my best way to do a “fahrner image replacement” on the logo in the top left?

Do not edit the Twenty Fourteen theme. It is the current default WordPress theme and having access to an original, unedited, copy of the theme is vital in many situations. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

Hi Toker, I do not understand what you mean by: “fahrner image replacement” in your secondary question. If it is that you want to put a logo instead of the text, it was resolved in the post “Adding Logo to Twenty fourteen”.
As far as increasing the height of the main top menu and still retain the “fixed” position, I do not know how, but I am interested in finding how to do it! Hoping someone can help!

And I hope somebody can help me address the height of the nav / menu, it’s really confusing me…
