Twenty Seventeen Child Header Problem

    I wanted to have a slideshow in my twenty seventeen header so I created a child theme of it and added a meta slider to the header. It is working fine but I don’t want the slideshow on every page it should just be on the starting page.
    What can I do to remove the slideshow from all sides besides the starting page but keep the menu?
