Twenty Sixteen Menu Toggle Focus Issue

  • I am using the Twenty Sixteen theme and have the Menu toggle exposed at all viewport-sizes.

    The issue I’m having is that when the Menu toggle is ON and focused,if you click anywhere other than on a menu item the toggle resets to it’s OFF/Inactive state if when the navigation menu is open.

    This is a weird way for the menu to graphically operate.I have been attempting to fix this,albeit unsuccessfully.

    It would be great if I can get the Menu toggle to stay in it’s active/focused/on state when the user clicks elsewhere otheer than than on the menu toggle.What would be even better would be if the user clicks elsewhere and the Menu actually closes alongside the menu returning to it’s off/inactive state.

    Would highly appreciate some pointers on this one….
