The spacing below the page title is different on the home page and weird in other places. I thought if I updated the theme, I’d lose all customization and get back the theme’s original styles. I now have twentyten-child set up for customization, but didn’t know about this when I did the site last year. A message appeared saying I’d lose customization, but the problem persists. When I inspect with Firebug, one has H1 tag and the other H2, but I don’t see any way to change these.

    Site is: https://hilarymarcus.com

Can you link to the page where the title is fine as well?

I think the spacing on the first link is correct, at least the default spacing and the spacing on this page (and others) is wrong.

I can’t see the difference, what browser (and version) has the issue?

It’s the space under Consultant vs. Coach in both Firefox 21 and Safari 6.0.5

Okay I was looking at wrong title.

The space under the “Consultant” title is caused by this code:

    <p><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml><br />
    <w:WordDocument><br />
    <w:View>Normal</w:View><br />
    <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom><br />
    <w:PunctuationKerning/><br />
    <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/><br />
    <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid><br />
    <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent><br />
    <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText><br />
    <w:Compatibility><br />
    <w:BreakWrappedTables/><br />
    <w:SnapToGridInCell/><br />
    <w:WrapTextWithPunct/><br />
    <w:UseAsianBreakRules/><br />
    <w:DontGrowAutofit/><br />
    </w:Compatibility><br />
    <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel><br />
    </w:WordDocument><br />
    </xml><![endif]--></p>

    That is within a paragraph.

Are you aware this code is there?

No! Would this have come from pasting from Word? Thank you! I didn’t think to check the code below the title. So it seems I now have the default spacing. Now for the next problem of the menu getting out of order when I use child theme header…

Yes, pasting from Word can add all kinds of incompatible code – which that is.

Thanks. I guess I have to talk to my client who added the text, and in the meantime, clean it up.
