Twenty-Ten theme Comments don't work

TwntynTen was updated last month to version 1.8. Have you updated your theme to this latest version?latest

Yes it was updated to 1.8. It happened when I update wordpress 4.1.

We are prepared to relead the whole site from backup. I am sending it to inmotionhosting.com for that. If you can fix it down there I will stop.

try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Remember this is a news site and is operating live so having it down is not helpful. Will this show to the readers. it has big following.

I am aware. You and they are trying to figure out the problem. If you’ve got a better solution than uploading an old copy, then I’m all ears.

So my comments are out and so are two plugs in the right hand column. You’ll be able to see that they have no data.

They are very important because the recognition keeps commenters coming back.

I’m so careful with this site so it is disappointing when something like this happens.

I waited for a while before uploading 4.1 so any conflicts could be solved before I showed up.

Guess that didn’t work.

I’m sorry but waiting for what? Tara is in no way responsible for your installation. No one here is, you are. Please don’t reply to specific users that way, this is not a helpdesk and anyone can assist you if they choose to. Or not, Tara doesn’t owe you a reply.

I have just updated to wordpress 4.1 in theme twenty ten and I cannot receive comments now and my two commenting plugins no longer work.

What steps have you taken? Have you deactivated all of your plugins?

Which means that at least one plugin is still active.

The comment form is all there, do you still have problems with comments?
