Twenty-Ten theme Comments don't work

    I have just updated to wordpress 4.1 in theme twenty ten and I cannot receive comments now and my two commenting plugins no longer work.

    I have deactivated and actived all my plugins and this does not solve problem.

    My site is based on debate and without the comments working, I no longer have debate.

    It is critical that this plugin begin working again.

    Is there an easy way I can revert to the previous version of WordPress.

    I am not a coder.

    Help please.

    You’ll see the two plugins with no information in them but titles in the right hand column.

    But the main problem is that readers cannot access comments.

    I’m sorry to ask again but from the top it looks like you are having problems with WordPress 4.1, the Twenty Ten theme and your site with those 2 plugins.

    If you can provide those plugin names (and I apologise if you have done so already) then perhaps your setup can be replicated and we can help you sort it out.

    I’ve turned the two faulty plugins off and that still doesn’t solve the comment problem.

    I reactivated the plugins when they didn’t change anything.

    I get a message when I try to send in a comment that it is not accepted and it is not.

    The recent comments does not show up among my plugins so I think it is part of the basic WordPress package. It has been a long time since I did these so I’m a little fuzzy on that. Almost three years ago, I think.

    You’ve identified the top commenters widget. Again trouble free until now.

    Sorry I’m a bit slow. I’ve been at this since 5 am but I did just get my first food. Where are the power bars when you need them?

    For what it’s worth, Inmotion Hosting will re-install one of my backup copies of The Bulldog to get a working copy going.

    I won’t download wordpress 4.1 until wordpress gets that fixed.

    I appreciate all your volunteer help.

    But I’m out of gas and the website has not had comments for some time.

    It’s a debating site so I can’t leave it in this spot for too long or the readers will disappear.

    Thank you again. I’m sorry we didn’t come up with a solution.
