Twenty Thirteen Header Image

Do you have a section of the dashboard to add CSS modifications (other than in theme files)?

I have a child theme with a Styles.css file
I can add CSS modifications there

Current Content of child css file:
/*
Theme Name: Twenty Thirteen Child
Description: Child theme for the Twenty Thirteen theme
Template: twentythirteen
Version: 1.0
*/
@import url(“../twentythirteen/style.css”);

In your Child Theme style.css file enter this:

.site-header { backround-size: 100%; }

I added .site-header { backround-size: 100%; } in the child styles.css, and it did not make a difference. It is not showing when I inspect the element.

I see an in-line css:
.site-header {
background: url(“https://www.zanadiahome.com/zanadia-blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Zbar11.jpg”) no-repeat scroll center top / 1600px auto transparent;
}

and if I change te 1600px to 100% it fixes the issue. Do you know where would I find this in-line css to edit?

I don’t see an inline style but try using more specific selectors, e.g;

body .site-header

My latest attempt:
Click “Remove Header Image” from the theme

then put this in the Css
.site-header {
background: url(“https://www.zanadiahome.com/zanadia-blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Zbar11.jpg”) no-repeat scroll center top / 100% auto transparent;
}

This works great in Chrome and FF browsers, but the image does not show up on IE or on an android phone.

in the CSS works in FF, Chrome, Android, but not IE. I guess I can live with that.

IE8 and below doesn’t recognise the background-size property.

I am using IE10
