Twenty Twelve Category Archive Summary No Images

I’m using a child theme with Twenty Twelve. If you do a search for anything the archives return the results except that although there is an image at the beginning of every result no images appear in the archive summaries. Is there a reason that it is dumping the images when returning the summaries? Is there something in the archive.php file that can be changed to include the pictures in the summaries?
