Twenty Twelve Gallery – keeping the sidebar instead of full width template

  • Hi there,

    When I view a gallery in Twenty Twelve, it is always a full page layout and I lose the sidebar. I was wondering if there was a way to edit that template so that I can keep the sidebar (where my navigation happens to be in this child theme)?

  • Have you tried changing the Template selection (such as in “Quick Edit”) for the page displaying the Gallery?

    Thank you for the response.

    I realize I worded this wrong. When I click any image in the gallery and then enter a slideshow showing me the “attachment” pages, how do i make those pages with the single images appear with a sidebar still? Is it possible?

    That is beyond my experience, but almost anything is possible and hopefully someone here will know and respond.

    add <?php get_sidebar(); ?> to the image.php file.
