Twenty Twelve home page

    I have tried to tweak the css for the home page so that the widget area is wider and the content area narrower than the rest of the site. I don’t know why, but I CANNOT get the home page to work.

    The sidebar won’t float left, and it is somehow showing up in two columns. Can anyone help?
