• Can you help me?

I was using twenty-ten, but since it is not being supported I changed and I am now using the twenty-twelve theme, but am having problems with the margins both the body and side bar. My ads are being cut off over spilling over into the text and/or photos.

I have installed Adsense on my site. They allow 3 ads and they suggest a horizontal at the top (728 x 90) and 2 ads on the side bar (300x 250) above the fold for best results. The ads are being cut off on the sidebar and extending into my text in the body. Do you have a remedy to fix this? I would like to keep the theme if possible. I like the clean look of this theme and have been able to build with no skills and no-skill-plugins.

    My site – makeminelemon.com

I have created a child theme with a plugin so not to damage my site. I also use jetpack that I believe wants me to paste in code after the child theme code.

Also, will I need to go in manually and change the size of my photos? Width is 640px presently.

    Can you help me?

    Regards,

    Madonna

I think Twentyten is still being supported, and will be for a long time.

Twentytwelve is responsive. This is an issue with adsense ads not auto detecting screenwidth. I believe that there is a solution for this, but this is not a theme issue. See if this helps

Do you mean the CSS code ? If so, just make a decision whether to put the modification in child theme stylesheet or in Jetpack, don’t do both.

And whatever you want to do with Twentytwelve, try not to mess with its layout width, this theme is responsive and mobile first and has a separate IE stylesheet too.

Not necessary, unless the image in post content is inserted with a small size like thumbnail or medium and you want it to be bigger.

Thanks for your quick response. I will check in at adsense and see if I can resolve my problem. They are not making this easy.

Thanks for letting me know about not altering layout a responsive theme. I should have realized that, but I did not think about it.
