Why is it that the twentyfifteen theme is being pushed on every update to WP 4.1?

Obviously I don’t need it because I am updating a live website. Now I need to go into my websites again and delete it on all of them.

BTW: this is not a twentyfifteen review. It might be awsome. I really can’t tell. I just mind it being pushed without an actual and obvious need for it.

Twenty Fifteen is part of WordPress 4.1 and is included in the update. With each release of WordPress there are themes included, that’s the current one for this release.

For support reasons it’s recommended that you leave it but deleting it is fine if you want to.

Thanks for your really quick reply.

I’ve noticed it is part of 4.1. And I’ve noticed it is included in the update.

I just don’t see a reason to include it. Not even for support reasons.

For security reasons one could argue that less is better. And “lean & mean” also sounds better to me.

No need to go into a discussion here. I’ll delete all of them and go on. I was just wondering if there is a GOOD reason to include it. I can’t think of any, but I can think of a lot of reasons NOT to include it…
