twentyfourteen

  • I have been running the twentyfourteen theme fine but today I updated it, and also updated WordPress 4.2. Was using 4.1. I was told that 4.2 is not compatible with twentyfourteen, even though both are WordPress. Now my site does not show. I want to revert back to 4.1 but can’t find a way. I do not want to change my theme.

  • Some of the updates had a bad copy of Twenty Fourteen – it’s been fixed now, so you can delete the copy you have and reinstall it and it should be fine.

    If your site is down, use FTP or Cpanel to access the site files on the server and rename Twenty Fourteen theme manually from here:

    wp-content
   themes
      twentyfourteen.HOLD

    That should let you login again and reinstall it.
