• I am wanting a similar experience from mobile phones to computer browsers regarding the “header size” – horizontally and vertically.

I just want a simply header like I see on the other pages that is more nomal in size

Basically just a fixed header that is 2000×420 pixels for phone and computer

Right now I have a header in place that has a lot of black space on the bottom of header image which is 2000×1200 pixels (template default)

If I crop it then the header gets blown up and expanded. I would like to upload a header image that is fixed at 2000×420 pixels and it not get stretched in either direction on the phone and the computer.

    is this possible?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I don’t understand the problem you are facing, can you provide a screenshot of the issue?

Basically all that black below the orange eye part I want to get rid of but if I crop the black part out in the “add new header image” inside twentyseventen then the image stretches out real big

You can fix this on the desktop side by adding some CSS, however it’s important to note that the mobile site requires a different aspect ratio for the image. This is why the theme stretches the image.

So you can’t have a one-size-fits-all solution; you cannot display a 2000 x 1200px desktop image (5:3 ratio) on a 320px x 480px (2:3 ratio) mobile image without producing unwanted space underneath the image, or stretching the image as the theme does.

    thank you

can I use two different images? One for computers and one for phones?

I just dont like any stretching or cropping

Can I make a header-image for the computer that is 2000×420
    and…
Can I make a header-image with an aspect ratio for phones (your recommendation) that will not change in aspect ratio when you when you fip the phone “portrait to landscape”

Basically no cropping or scaling for the phone on the flip with its own image and then the computer would be consistent using its own separate aspect ration and size image?

I may be asking for the impossible – thank you for your help

How are you thinking of managing the additional mobile field in the dashboard?
