• I am using multisite with a different theme for my main site. While working on a subsite, I’m using TwentyTen. When attempting to edit the header, regardless of the dimensions of the image I upload (it has been resized to 940×132, which should fit perfectly within the parameters), it is not utilizing the full image and wants me to crop off the right side.

I have no reason to want to edit the default sizing, as the image is basically the same as over at the main site (https://planetnarcolepsy.com) and should easily fit.

Is this a bug? Is there some other setting I’m missing? I use the same theme on another site without multisite enabled and have no problem.

  • The header image should be 940 x 198 px.

I cannot get a header image that TwentyEleven will not crop (in some ugly way)!

It tells me an image of 1000 x 288 will be used as is, but not so: it wants to crop both width & height. So then I tried 940 x 198, and it wants to crop that too, but only the width.

It took trial & error to create an image that I can accept, since I could not predict the crop.

    Annoying!

    Please post a new topic.

I am setting up a blog at https://www.lightsofthecity.co.za/wordpress and my header image (when using safari) crops and leaves a white space on the right. Any way to fix this?

I have tried resizing in photoshop, but it doesn’t seem to fix it. Is there something else affecting the total header size that I can change?
