Twentyten Theme crashed after updating to 3.0.5

Is back2blog a child theme of Twenty Ten?

it is! it’s fixed now, the collaborator who did put the theme together oriented me to edit the ‘functions.php’ file.

she had changed it so we could have the ‘keep reading’ feature, and that caused the conflict.

we took the line out of the file and later on put it back in it.

Yeah, you can’t override the twentyten_continue_reading_link() function. Not really sure why. It’s designed to simply simplify code in twentyten_auto_excerpt_more() and twentyten_custom_excerpt_more(), which you can both unhook and use your own replacements.

Otto’s got a bit on functions, and their wigginess (it’s not JUST 2010 that has this … foible).

For some reason I am not seeing all the areas of my admin panel…..for widgets, categories, links, pages and post tags. Here is a screen shot

Colleen, we can’t see your dashboard from your admin link.

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

– re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

– increasing the memory available to PHP?
