• Hello,
I am using twentythirteen with a child theme for modifications at https://reseaugtn.com (and the English version at gtntix.com).

They both work fine on my laptop and desktop, and they respond well on my android phone as well.

When viewing on an iPad (using safari or chrome) the sidebar shifts down to cover the right part of the footer.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    Thank you!

  • It is not an error, You simply need to re-do the CSS of your child theme to get the mobile layout that you want.

But, like I wrote earlier, at this point I just want the theme to act like the parent theme, only with a narrower sidebar when on large screens.

As far as I can tell, the only changes I made to the child theme css have to do with colour and font, besides the narrowing of the sidebar and some extra padding added around the featured image.

This is why I do not understand why the sidebar overlaps the footer instead of doing what its parent tells it to do and reside just above the footer.
