twentytwelve links

Hi

I’m having a bit of trouble with the links in Twentytwelve. It seems to me that the a:visited colour (which is the same as the a:link colour – #382001) is overriding the a:hover colour (#c97302). In addition, there seems to be some appearances of the original Twentytwelve pale grey for a:visited, though this is appearing in Safari not Firefox. I am using a child theme by the way. I simply want all the links throughout the site to be the same: #382001 (dark brown) with #c97302 (orange) for the hover colour. This should be easy – what am I missing? I’ve checked out the historic posts on this subject too by the way.
