    Hello,

I just realized that Shariff connects to twitter API / loads twitter (uBlock Origin made me aware of this), this line:

    https://api.twitter.com/1.1/jot/client_event.json

Maybe you want to check, why this is being loaded by default (without clicking). I think it’s not supposed to load.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hi there,

just to clarify: That file is not being added by our plugin. That wouldn’t make much sense (as you already noted). The most likely case is that there is a) another plugin or b) your theme or c) some forgotten snippet adding it. The “official” Twitter snippet (not shariff) works like this: It scans your site for Twitter links and every time it finds one, it adds the the js code and stuff. That’s why it is most likely gone when you remove the shariff links. You can test that pretty easily. Simply write a test post and enter a Twitter link manually.

    Like: https://twitter.com/share?url=https://www.yourpage.com

You most likely will see the stuff being added even though shariff isn’t active.

To find the script, I would recommend starting by going through your plugin list first. Maybe some SEO or other plugin ads that as well. Afterwards start with your theme options, maybe there is some option regarding Twitter. And last you might want to check any custom code snippet in the customizer, theme options or other snippet.

    Happy hunting! ??

    Cheers
    JP
