    Hi guys,

Just wanted to point out that I’m using a custom shortcode for the WP galleries (rewriting it / replacing the original with stuff) and this gives problems with the plugin’s 7.7.3 and WP 4.9.7.

I have lots of plugins installed so it may contribute to the trouble.

The case is that the post gallery (in my case in a custom post type), will be output on the head HTML section, where the twitter metadatas should go (bad thing).

To fix it, at least provisionally, I went to /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/frontend/class-twitter.php and on line 100 commented out the galleries thing. It worked.

Additionally, I have encountered problems saving fields on the Social area of the plugin, admin-side.

I may return over that later on, but for now I just wanted to give some clues about this, if this is going to be reviewed on the future.

    Cheers,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. While we are unable to confirm whether this is a bug on our end, we’d welcome you to submit a pull request directly to our development repository here so our development team investigate this further.

The problem was a plugin called “WP Disable” which messes with the stuff in the <head> section.

Once disabled, all returned to normal:

    – no galleries on strange places
    <title> tag is back

However, saving fields on the Social area of the plugin (admin-side) keeps failing.

    More on that later,

@ign2009 If you continue to encounter an issue regarding the changes in the social preview not saving this may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
