Twitter image settings not working

In the Social Settings under Twitter, when I upload a Twitter image, Yoast ignores it and always posts the first image on the page. By default, shouldn’t it use the featured image for my Twitter card? Since it doesn’t, I upload the featured image but it’s always overridden. I have to upload the featured image for Facebook settings as well, but at least that works.
