I am having an issue with my twitter share buttons here and I cant seem to find a solution or similar problem anywhere on the web.

For some reason with twitter sharing and yoast, all of my spaces are being converted to %20 in the share window. You can see an example here: https://www.bluecollaragency.com/blog/video-advertising/
Facebook and all the other share options pull the correct content, the issue is only with twitter.

When I deactivate yoast the issue goes away but then I have no custom control over twitter title image and description, If I disable just twitter sharing in yoast the problem persists. The theme we are using has its own share buttons built in but I dont think this is the problem as they are pulling the correct content, it is just not being encoded right. I would really like to continue using yoast and not have to search for an alternative.

Any help on this would be much appreciated, its really driving me nuts.

All of the other share options are working great.

Yoast SEO does not create or control the share buttons on your site. Please contact the plugin or theme developer for assistance with their product.

Correct, your plugin does not “control” the share buttons that is correct, but it does “control” the information (opengraph) that those buttons pull, and that information is wrong, or getting messed up somewhere. It is for surely a problem with yoast, because deactivating yoast fixes the issue.

I guess it could be the way the buttons are pulling the OG info. But when I look at manually entered OG info, and the OG info entered by yoast, they look the same in the inspector to me. So I am a bit lost on where to turn here, and cant really find anything about this online, so it doesnt seem to be a common issue.
