Twitter re-authentication

    I recently noticed an error message pointing to the twitter associated to my stream, which has worked with no problem for several months. It states that it “cannot authenticate you”. In visiting the Twitter apps site, their new platform is insisting that I apply (re-apply) for a new developer account on their “new” platform. The account remains in “pending” mode and could take a long time (according to their forums).

    Is there not some way to have a general setting for use in this plugin for Twitter accounts like the Facebook authentication?

    This plugin has been useful but with all of the changes in Facebook, Google+, now Twitter, it’s getting to be very “labor intensive”.

    Any insight would be helpful.

    By creating a brand new Twitter Developer account with no prior activity, I was able to fairly quickly get approved with the new account on the new developer platform and created the necessary app with required keys, secrets, tokens, etc.

    Resolved!
