Twitter-Shares not counted

Hi everyone.
Am I the only one that has no twitter counts on shariff? It’s not that there is a “0” displayed, there is *nothing* displayed.
After digging into the code I found out, that the URL that is called to retrieve the count for the current URL on twitter (which is https://cdn.api.twitter.com/1/urls/count.json?url=%5BURL%5D) has not only been not allowed to be called from twitters side (see https://twittercommunity.com/t/is-http-urls-api-twitter-com-1-urls-count-json-a-valid-way-to-get-the-tweet-count-for-a-url/13369 among others), it is using the old Version 1 API which has been retired on june 11th *2013*(https://blog.twitter.com/2013/api-v1-retirement-final-dates). That’s more than 1,5 years since then.
Has anyone an alternative?
